Okay, so we were a little off the mark. Earlier this year we pointed out that the Chevy Bolt was missing from Chevrolet’s electric lineup, and there was a possibility that was on purpose to signify that the end of the Bolt may be near. With the unveiling of the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV, eyes began to stray away from the original Chevy electric vehicle. We at Landers Chevrolet of Norman, Oklahoma now have all the information and know the Bolt being discontinued was simply a rumor. So, let’s discuss some of our favorite refinements for the 2022 Chevy Bolt.

The Chevy Bolt has a unique design, smoothing the front hood into the windshield. There are few harsh angles and more aerodynamic curves. There are two trims available, the 1LT and 2LT.

Moving forward in efficiency, the 2022 Bolt EV will include One Pedal Driving, Sport Mode, and 266 lb.-ft. of torque. One Pedal Driving may sound a little crazy, but it is more capable than it may sound. For one, there will still be two pedals to control the speed. The brake pedal is not being removed. However, to maximize efficiency, when you let off the acceleration pedal, you will slow down (obviously), but with One Pedal Driving, the regenerative braking will be engaged. The speed control works with further features to bring the Bolt EV to a complete stop when needed without having to coast for miles or touching the brakes. The Sport Mode engages the driver and provides even more responsive power, like the acceleration and steering response.

The 2022 Bolt EV comes standard with Chevy Standard Assist. Chevy Standard Assist comes with Front Pedestrian Braking, Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, and IntelliBeam Auto High Beam. You can add additional safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control, HD Surround Vision, and the HD Rear Vision Camera. 

Here’s how the EV tax works. 

The interior of the Chevy Bolt was redesigned to maximize the space and for a cozy environment. There is room for five passengers within the electric car. Style can be found in the sports steering wheel, leather-appointed seat options, and the eight-way power driver’s seat. The second row offers the passenger 36 inches of rear-seat of leg room to scratch out.
