First Look at the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV
Chevrolet took a leap of faith when it decided to electrify the pickup truck; the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV turned heads when it was introduced in January. After, there were murmurs of what Chevy would do next in the electric vehicle space, and we at Landers Chevrolet of Norman, Oklahoma knew Chevy had the Blazer and Equinox EV in the works. Nothing detailed had been released for a while, though. Then, Chevy revealed a date: July 18, 2022. That’s come and gone by now, so let’s discuss what we now know about the all-new electric SUV: the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV.
There are four trim levels for the 2024 Blazer EV: 1LT, 2LT, RS, and SS. To keep the suspense, each trim level will be released at a different point within the next two years. The 1LT will be available in winter 2024, the 2LT and RS will be available in the summer of 2024m and the SS will be available in the fall of 2024.
Interior
With an 11-inch driver information display screen behind the wheel, the driver has access to any information they will even possibly think to need while driving. It’ll alert you when the vehicle is changing lanes (see safety features), what music is playing, what charge your battery is at, and much more. The main touchscreen above the central, circular air vents is 17.7 -inches and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. There is a wireless charging area for your smartphone in the front console area as well. From the heated and cooled seating to the two interior color schemes, the Blazer EV cabin is comfortable and stylish. The interior color options are Adrenaline Red or Black and Medium Ash Gray with Argon Orange Accents.
Safety Features
The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV does come standard with Chevy Safety Assist which includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance Indicator, and IntelliBeam Auto High Beams.
The first-ever Blazer EV also offers the available Super Cruise hands-free driver assist, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, and the standard Reverse Automatic Braking alerts.
Performance
Zero to 60 in under four seconds is miles past impressive, and that’s how quick the new electric Blazer is – it’s rated at 557 horsepower, too. The maximum distance the Blazer EV can travel on a full charge is an estimated 320 miles. One Pedal Driving can help increase the Blazer’s distance by preserving energy that is otherwise wasted. Need help visualizing how far 320 miles is? For reference, Dallas, Texas is roughly 190 miles away from Norman. Branson, Missouri has a route that is an estimated 320 miles away from Norman.
The performance of the Blazer is thanks to the Ultium battery platform, the same tech that is layered under the Chevy Silverado EV. The drive modes range from front-wheel, rear-wheel, and all-wheel drive.
Exterior
The exterior of the electric 2024 Blazer is sculpted to look powerful, to look bold, to look strong. The design is eye-catching, and, whether you choose the two-tone paint option or not, the Blazer EV wears its sporty look with pride. The RS trim can be tricked out with a black-painted grille panel, lower fascia, and rocker molding. There a range of paint options to compliment your personal style, and include:
- Summit White
- Black
- Iridescent Pearl Tricoat
- Sterling Gray Metallic
- Radiant Red Metallic
- Red Hot
- Galaxy Gray Metallic
- Riptide Blue Metallic
The options pair well with the aerodynamic feel of the electric SUV, with each curve and angle.
The starting price for the all-electric 2024 Chevrolet Blazer is $44,995. Chevrolet wrapped the Blazer in style and stuffed it with performance to create this new electric SUV, and we at Landers Chevy of Norman, OK think it’s a stunning new ride. We can’t wait for it to start hitting production! What are your thoughts on the new Chevy EV? Let us know in the comments!
