The Spark is a small car though, so the 2022 Chevy Malibu takes a close second with mpg of 29 city and 36 highway. The Spark itself has a seven-inch color touchscreen, numerous paint options to fit your style, and a starting price of $13, 600. The Malibu has a slightly more spacious interior, standard Teen Driver Technology, and a starting price of $23,400. Both are convenient and economical choices for people who need to make vehicle choices to help get them through these high gas prices.

Bolt EV 

Let’s start this off with the easiest solution to less gas consumption: an electric vehicle that doesn’t consume gas at all. The 2023 Chevy Bolt EV is the cheapest electric vehicle on the market, which makes it the perfect option for someone looking to make the switch to an electric car smoothly without breaking the bank. It has an estimated range of 259 miles on a full charge and is fun the drive, going from zero to 60 in as little as 6.5 seconds. You can fit five passengers in the cabin comfortably. There is a 10.2-inch touchscreen, and the Bolt EV does come standard with the Chevy Safety Assist safety package. The starting price for a 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV is $25,600.

Trailblazer 

If an electric vehicle isn’t your style, but a small SUV is, the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer has the best miles per gallon at 29 city and 33 highway. The Trailblazer definitely has more room in its cabin when compared to the Bolt. If you fold both the second row and the first-row passenger seat down, the Trailblazer will have 8.5 feet of maximum cargo space from the front to the back. With all the seats up, there is room for five people to sit in the cabin. The Trailblazer comes standard with front-wheel drive and an available all-wheel drive option. The starting price for the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer is $21,600. 

Silverado 

Now, it might seem counterproductive to mention a pickup truck when the purpose is to save money on gas, but the 2022 Chevy Silverado does have a diesel engine option. The diesel engine has been known to be more efficient in comparison, so it makes the list of efficient Chevrolets. The engine is a Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine that supplies the Silverado with 277 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. The estimated mpg is around 23 city and 31 highway. The Silverado comes with a 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, available Super Cruise Driver Assistance Technology, and up to 14 camera views.
