What We Know about the Upcoming 2021 Tahoe & Suburban
The current Chevy Tahoe and Suburban have been around since 2015 and have been hot sellers! The introduction of the all-new 2021 models is an important moment for Chevrolet. If these SUVs miss the mark, they could lose the top spot for the full-sized family SUV. The good news is that these SUVs have come to crush the competition! If you want to get in on this new SUV action, contact us at Landers Chevrolet of Norman, Oklahoma today to reserve your new Tahoe or Suburban!
The all-new Tahoe and Suburban are powered by three different engine choices. The standard engine is the familiar 5.3-liter V8 engine with 355 horsepower that is going to be equipped on every model except the High Country. The High Country will receive the beefy 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 460-lb.ft. of torque. The all-new engine option is a 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine. This engine is going to be the most efficient in the lineup and has the same 460-lb.ft. of torque as the larger 6.2-liter V8. No other full-size SUV competitor offers a diesel engine!
One of the most notable changes to the 2021 Tahoe and Suburban is the introduction of an independent rear suspension. This allows for increased interior space and better driving dynamics. The Tahoe was the industry leader for cargo space and now that accolade improves with 66 percent more cargo space! Additionally, the Tahoe offers 25 percent more cargo room behind the third-row seat than the 2020 Ford Expedition. The Suburban offers 19 percent more cargo space behind the first row which is best-in-class.
The standard 10-inch touchscreen display is the largest in the segment and the available 15-inch heads-up display which no other competitor offers. There is also an available dual 12.6-inch rear-seat LCD entertainment displays which are part of the segment’s most advanced rear-seat media system.
