Things to Do on Spring Break if You’re Staying in Norman

Spring Break is right around the corner! Some people like to go on beach vacations or ski trips for spring break but staying around Norman, Oklahoma is a great option for those who want to save money and experience all of what Norman has to offer. This year, Norman High School and the University of Oklahoma share the same dates for Spring Break: March 14-22. This is plenty of time to relax, hang out with your pals, and experience everything Norman has to offer!

If you’re looking for entertainment, Norman has some of the best attractions in the Oklahoma City metro area. HeyDay Entertainment offers laser tag, mini-golf, bowling, ropes course, laser maze, two dining options, and a 21+ club area. Andy’s Alligator’s Fun Park is right next door to HeyDay and offers a Spring Break Blast Special! The purchase of a wristband gives you special unlimited access to certain attractions. You can also check out the indoor climbing gym, Summit. Rock climbing gyms are all the rage right now and for good reason. They are so much fun and provide a great workout to participants of all ages and experience levels. The Sooner Bowling Center is a great option for some good old fashioned pin slamming! Put your mind to the test by signing you and your friends up for an escape room at Cracked Norman. If you haven’t experienced one before, escape rooms are so much fun.

Norman, Oklahoma has over 50 parks if you want your Spring Break to consist of the great outdoors. Lake Thunderbird is a wonderful option for camping or taking a quick dip in the water. If you close your eyes and relax on the shore, you might even think you’re on the beach!

There are several museums and parks if you want to get a look at the history of the area. The Sam Noble Museum, Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, and the National Weather Museum are awesome choices to educate yourself on the history found right here in Norman, Oklahoma.
