How To Remove Pollen From Your Car
Anyone else over this pollen invasion we are having?! Yes, we are too! Pollen usually makes all of our allergies go crazy (if not, you’re a superhuman) and overwhelms our cars with a disgusting yellow residue. Not only does it look gross on your car, but it can also damage the paint. No good! At Landers Chevrolet of Norman, we have compiled some easy tips to help you keep your car nice and clean. We hope these help you out!
How to get pollen off your car
Start by washing the pollen off with water. Pro tip: begin on the roof and spray until all the yellow yuck is gone. A simple garden hose will do.
Dry your car immediately with a clean towel.
Now we wax! Now, waxing won’t prevent pollen from getting on your vehicle BUT it will add extra protection to your car’s paint job against the environmental stressors. You could even get an extra layer of sealant on your vehicle.
Park your car inside…obviously. Pollen will still get on your vehicle, but at least it will help stop some of it.
Be wary of using microfiber cloths as this can actually scratch your paint.
Final tip! Wash your car once a week. Now, we know this is a super tedious thing to do, but it’s going to help so much.
Luckily pollen season is just that…a season. YES! So once it’s over, you can go back to a normal car wash schedule. Do you have any questions about car maintenance, washing or waxing? Make sure to call us at Landers Chevrolet of Norman, or schedule a car service appointment with us today!
