Chevrolet announces they're expand RS, Midnight and Sport Special Edition trims to more SUV models
There's very few of us who are satisfied with the same-ol'-same-ol' thing everybody else has, and that might go double when it comes to our vehicles. Most everybody loves the look of a stock vehicle that has been "tricked out" with custom paint, graphics, wheels and interior features, but very few of us have the knowledge and ability to take a vehicle off the showroom floor and turn it into a vehicle that truly reflects your personality.
That's why we here at Landers Chevy of Norman found a lot to love in the recent announcement that Chevrolet will expand its popular Midnight, Sport, Redline and RS appearance packages to more SUVs for upcoming model years, including the new 2021 Chevy Traverse Midnight, Sport and Redline, and the new 2022 Equinox RS.
Featuring sleek and streetwise touches like blackout trim, special badging and performance-vehicle style graphics, the Midnight, Sport, Redline and RS packages — already available on some Chevrolet SUVs including the Trailblazer and Blazer — have been a big hit with customers looking for something a little more sporty and aggressive from the Bowtie Brand. The expansion of these aggressive, high-performance-look trims will only make us more sure that there's a Chevrolet SUV for every driver and every budget here at Landers Chevy of Norman.
“Customer choice is a competitive advantage for Chevrolet,” said Steve Majoros, vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “Special editions and unique trims allow us to offer customers the custom look they want straight from the factory. This helps us get more customers interested in our vehicles, which in turn can help Chevrolet grow sales volume, market share and revenue. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
Midnight Edition Chevrolet vehicles are all about stealth, with blackout trim, an all-black interior and black-painted alloy wheels. Sport and RS trims, meanwhile, offer custom touches geared at capturing a street-racing or performance vibe, including special grille treatments, special trim, and special wheels. Redline vehicles like the 2021 Chevy Silverado, Camaro, Traverse and Trax redline, have a unifying red and black accent scheme and more high-performance custom flair.
The move to expand Midnight, Sport and RS offerings to more SUV models is sure to be a hit with customers. According to Chevrolet:
— More than half of all Chevy Models are already available in Midnight and Sport editions.
— 20 percent of 2020 Chevy Trax models sold are Midnight or Sport editions.
— The RS Trim Package accounts for one-third of all Chevrolet's small and mid-size SUV sales, including over 35 percent of 2020 Chevy Blazers sold featuring the sporty RS trim.
We're coming up fast on a whole new year, and with the expansion of Chevy's all-about-attitude Redline, RS, Sport and Midnight special editions, 2021 is coming in hot! So what are you waiting for?
