The Best Chevrolets from the 80s

It was a spectacular time period for cars. The 1980s truly was a decade of iconic Chevrolet vehicles that many of us owned and will never forget. Whether a Chevrolet Camaro or a Chevy Monte Carlo, these are the cars celebrities continue to own even today. And who can forget the Chevrolet Chevelle? It’s one of the most classic Chevrolet cars of all time, but it certainly isn’t the only one. We thought we would put together a list of which cars truly stick out in our minds that we wouldn’t mind driving around Norman right about now.
1985 Chevy Camaro Z28
Pure legend. It’s really the full package, too, when it comes to performance and style. When you think of a muscle car, you probably think of this one.
1980 Chevrolet El Camino
Who didn’t love this vehicle? It’s one of those models we wish would come back because the pickup truck and station wagon combo is so weird it works. Brilliant. Believe it or not, the 1980 El Camino was solid in speed and performance as well.
1988 Chevy S10 Blazer
Overall, just a good solid truck. It definitely had a faithful following back in the 80s, and that’s because it was such a practical ride. If the 1988 version was still made today, we bet it would continue to perform just fine.
1988 Chevy Monte Carlo SS
A luxury car at the time, this SS model was also designed to compete in NASCAR because of its aerodynamic nose. It is the performance version of the original 1970 model and most definitely an icon not forgotten.
1984 Corvette C4
Did you know that the Corvette was one of the most stolen cars back in the 80s? This model was the first Corvette to introduce an anti-theft system. It actually disabled the car if someone tried to use the wrong key!
Speaking of Chevrolet icons, read now about how three different iconic models got their names. We just love a good story on Chevrolet history…enjoy!
