Chevrolet Makes Strides Against Breast Cancer for the Eighth Year in a Row

Proud partners of the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for the eighth year in a row, Chevrolet has created its new Chevy Cares campaign to raise even more awareness for this important cause. By hosting and participating in activities such as employee walks, event sponsorships, and customer engagement, Chevy hopes to do their part this month. Another huge aspect of the Chevy Cares campaign is the #IDriveFor hashtag--for every social media post created in support of those affected by breast cancer using the tag, Chevrolet will donate $5 to breast cancer research. This includes tagging on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, so get out there and get tagging!

The newly-introduced Chevy Cares campaign also aims to support members of the military and their families, youth sports, and relief assistance in areas where Chevrolet runs and operates. Vice President of Chevrolet Marketing Paul Edwards had this to say about the new campaign: “We know that when we support causes that our employees, dealers and consumers are passionate about, it helps bring communities together. We are proud to roll out Chevy Cares as a unifying effort that will allow us and our dealers to do even more in the communities where we live and work, including building on the success of our partnership with the American Cancer Society to raise even more awareness and financial support for breast cancer research.”

On top of everything else they are doing for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Chevrolet has also committed to donating $350 for every caution lap taken by this year’s Team Chevrolet Motorsports commisioned pink Chevy Camaro SS Pace Car. Chevy plans to make two public donations at Talladega Superspeedway on October 14 and Martinsville Speedway on October 28. We are proud to work for a company who believes in giving back so strongly, and can’t wait to see their philanthropic results!
