Santa Claus is On the Way--Track His Progress with Chevrolet & OnStar!

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town! That’s right, Santa is suiting up yet again to visit households across the globe and he’s checking his list--twice! And now, thanks to Chevrolet and OnStar, you can track Santa’s progress with the press of a little blue button. Collaborating with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), both Chevy and OnStar will provide actual real-time updates as Santa makes his way across the world. Using NORAD’s sophisticated geo-synchronous satellites and North Warning Radar System, OnStar enabled Chevy-owners will be able to easily track Father Christmas as he travels from house to house. And in the spirit of the giving season, both Chevrolet and OnStar plan to donate $1 for each button push made in the United States to the American Red Cross. Director of the Contact Center Operations supporting Chevrolet Stacey Unold said, “Each year we receive thousands of Santa Update requests. It's a fun way for Chevrolet owners to use technology to connect their families with important information about Santa's journey and spread holiday cheer.”

Santa Updates may begin anytime after 6 AM Eastern Standard Time on December 24 through 5 AM Eastern Standard Time on December 25. In order to access these awesome Santa Updates, you are required to have an active OnStar subscription in your OnStar-enabled Chevrolet. Once in your Chevy, simply press the blue OnStar button to active the Santa Update and available OnStar advisors will use active NORAD data to share specific location-based details about Santa’s epic Christmas journey! And for the first 10,000 Santa Updates, OnStar and Chevrolet will donate $ to the American Red Cross, so you can enjoy this wonderful holiday, even more, knowing you’re giving back.
