The 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is the most attractive Corvette yet. Warning: this car can cause whiplash before you even start the engine. Just look at those muscular lines and enticing wings. Everything about the ZR1’s styling is striking, and it all serves a purpose. Every design element was strategically planned to increase performance, from the carbon-fiber halo hood and engine cover to the sleek aerodynamic profile. The 2019 ZR1 is offered as both a coupe and convertible, and both models were carefully planned out. The convertible top can even retract at speeds up to 30 mph.
Amazingly, what hides away on the inside of the 2019 ZR1 is possibly even more beautiful than what you see on the outside. The new Corvette is equipped with a hand-assembled LT5 small block 6.2L supercharged V8 engine. It delivers an incredible 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque. We told you it was fierce. The car’s Eaton supercharger is the largest one yet, and it delivers peak boost pressure of 13 psi. It can maintain that peak effectiveness at higher speeds too, thanks to the high-flow efficiency 4-lobe design rotors. The 2019 Corvette ZR1 is fast , too. With a top speed of 212 miles per hour, the 2019 ZR1 broke the record for the fastest production Corvette ever made.
This is a ‘vette that knows how to think for herself. Using technology born from the Corvette racing program and engineered through lengthy testing, two sophisticated aerodynamic configurations allow the ZR1 to channel its supercar strength with precision and poise. The standard rear wing is very much a top speed enabler, offering 20 percent less drag than the available adjustable high wing – but it still creates more downforce than the standard Z06. If you want more downforce though, you can opt for the stanchion-mounted carbon-fiber high wing, which creates about 60 percent more downforce than the current Z06, even with the Z07 performance package. It even maintains similar drag. The Corvette uses a racecar-style front underwing, along with advanced cooling technology. Inside the cab, you’ll find a driver-focused control center with all kinds of tech to keep you informed, entertained and comfortable.
We’re expecting to see the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 arrive sometime in the spring of 2018. Check in with Landers Chevrolet Of Norman in person or online to keep up with the latest news about the upcoming model. In the meantime, take a look at our extensive Corvette inventory online.
